About Franklin Guitars
Franklin Guitars is a fledgeling guitar company that is the brainchild of brothers Chris and Steve Franklin.
The ethos of the venture is to combine the traditional skills of luthiery, art design and wood carving to create one-off and unique instruments.
Steve and Chris have a lifetime in woodcraft and music which they combine to produce things of great beauty.
Our guitars are designed to use the best of exotic timbers,electrical and mechanical components,and luthiers skills,together with masterfull design and carving,to create instruments that are the best in playability and sound creation; but furthermore works of art in their own right by virtue of the beautifull timber,creative artwork,and living finishes incorperated therein. Each instrument is individualy hand crafted to the highest possible standard.

As all of our guitars are hand crafted to order our option list is virtualy endless, we do however have a general specification that our guitars are built to as a starting point.
Construction
- Scale lenght: 24 ¾" or 25 ½"
- Number of frets: 22 or 24
- Fret Inlay: Mother of Pearl dot markers
- Fingerboard: Ebony, Maple or Mahogany. Bound or unbound with side dot markers
- Neck: Mahogany one piece, Maple/Mahogany three piece or Maple/Walnut five piece
- Body: Solid Rosewood, Sycamore, Maple, Walnut, Mahogany or Mahogany with maple top
- Binding: Single, double or non-bound body as option
- Headstock: Solid Ebony or Maple Headstock Veneer with Mother of Pearl inlayed logo
- Truss rod: Double acting
Hardware
- Pickups: Seymour Duncan or Bare Knuckle (selection made by customer)
- Switching: Jimmy Page Les Paul type switching on two pickup model
- Controls: Combination to suit customer, coil taping available where possible
- Bridge: Wilkinson combination Bridge/tailpiece, Tunematic and stop tailpiece or tremolo
- Tuners: Grover Rotomatic or Schaller M6
- Case: Hiscox fitted case
